Light Mocha Ice-cream

I do not get enough of sugary stuff, but while I’m on a diet, I really try to cut back. Let’s be real though, that never lasts long. So instead of cutting sweets out completely, I’ve been finding ways to make them a little healthier. Truthfully, I’m not even a big ice cream person. But the moment I start dieting, suddenly I crave everything including ice cream. So I decided to make a mocha version because I love the combo of coffee, chocolate, and that creamy texture. I also added some biscuits for a little crunch, and honestly, the taste was next-level. It turned out amazing, and I’m genuinely excited to share it.

Why do you need to try this Ice-cream recipe?

This recipe is a must for Gym rats, Fitness gurus, Pilate girlies, acne prone girlies and or anyone who just wants a guilt free treat !! Sometimes getting that protein intake in for the day can be tricky so this is also a good way to do that. The only catch is that you do need a Ninja Creami  to mix it all up and get that Ice-cream consistency so i do apologize if this delicious treat showed up for you when you do not have that device 🙁

But Hey ! Maybe this is your sign to get one and make your own ice-cream with however much sugar you would want to add. At least that was the main and honestly the only reason i got mine, the sugar content in grocery store’s Ice-cream brand is diabolical, especially if you do not find any low sugar or sugar-free brands in your country.

What toppings would go well with this recipe?

I would say multiple toppings can go well with this one ! We can do granola, Chocolate flakes, Nuts, it can also go well with other desserts such as healthy pancakes, crepes, brownies..ect however, i personally prefer to add sugar free cookies i usually go for Gullon zero-cookies-cream I find that they elevate the taste and give that crunch making it truly irresistible. One other thing you can use is Toppings from Prozis , They have a great selection of sugar-free toppings and low sugar ones so you might want to check them out. And that is basically it feel free to check the post i made about this Ice-cream on Tiktok and show me some love that would be very much appreciated. That you for being here if you read this far cause i know i never did before lol and enjoy the recipe !

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup protein pudding

  • 1 Cup Plain yogurt

  • 1 Serving protein powder

  • 3 Tbsp Instant coffee

  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp AgarAgar powder or flan powder

  • Optional :
  • Sugar free cookies

  • Low sugar caramel sauce

Directions

  • Add all your ingredients into the container that comes with your ice cream machine. I use the Ninja Creami Deluxe, which has worked great for me. I haven’t tried others, so I can’t recommend alternatives personally.

Tip: Agar-agar is key for that ice cream-like texture. If you don’t have it, you can substitute with Jell-O or flan powder, which has worked well for me.

  • Use a mixer to blend everything thoroughly; this helps create a super-smooth texture. (You can mix it by hand if you're up for an arm workout, but a mixer makes life easier.) Once everything is well combined, cover the container and place it in the freezer overnight. This step is essential to achieve the right consistency.

  • After at least 8 hours, take your frozen base and place it in your ice cream machine. Use your preferred setting based on the texture you want. It needs to be completely frozen when it comes out of the freezer; otherwise, the ice cream will be too runny. Also, a good tip would be to leave it out for 10 minutes before blending to help your Device last longer.

  • Once it's churned, I like to mix in crushed sugar-free biscuits and Oreos from Gullón, then drizzle some low-sugar caramel (I used the one from Prozis, so good and doesn’t taste artificial!).
